What is the Structural Principle of Traveling Crane End-beam Motion

Traveling end beam is an important part of the electric traveling crane, which carries the lifting mechanism and load, and realizes the movement through the mechanism of speed reducer, electric motor and gear transmission.   • Driving device: The driving device of traveling end beam usually consists of electric motor, reducer and coupling. The motor provides the power, the reducer converts the high speed rotation into low speed and high torque output, and the coupling transmits the speed and torque to the traveling end beam.
  • Gear transmission: The motion of the traveling end beam is mainly realized by gear transmission. Gear transmission can transfer the low-speed and high-torque torque output from the motor to the traveling end beam, and meet the high load and high-speed working requirements through the modulus and number of teeth design of the gear.
  • Braking device: In order to ensure the safety of traveling endcarriages during stopping, a braking device is usually provided. The braking device can hold the endcarriage in the desired position by means of electromagnetic suction or mechanical braking to prevent unwanted movement.
  • Guide rails and wheelsets: The movement of traveling endcarriages depends on guide rails and wheelsets. The guide rail is usually composed of steel rails or U-channels, which are used for the movement of the endcarriage beams; the wheelset is composed of wheels, bearings and support frames, etc., which enable the endcarriage beams to move along the guide rail.
  • Control system: In order to realize the precise control of the traveling end beam, a control system is usually set up. The control system can realize the monitoring and control of the parameters such as motor speed, travelling end beam position and lifting mechanism through PLC or computer, so as to realize the automated production process and precise material handling.
