Description
1. The drum group can be divided into two categories according to the number of winding layers of the wire rope: single-layer drum and multi-layer drum. The surface of the single-layer drum group is turned into rope grooves, which can increase the actual contact area between the wire rope and the drum, and can also make the wire ropes arranged neatly. At the same time, it can also reduce the friction between adjacent wire ropes and increase the service life of the wire rope. The multi-layer drum group can be used in places where the lifting height is relatively large, but the length of the drum will be limited.
2. Single-layer smooth drums are often equipped with rope arranging devices, so that the wire ropes can be arranged neatly: for single-layer grooved drums where the wire rope is easy to fall out of the groove, and multi-layer grooved drums, the configuration of rope pressing devices can also achieve the purpose of arranging the wire rope on the drum.
3. Single-layer is easy to control
Multi-layer is more difficult, especially the problem of disordered ropes after multiple layers.
Working Condition
- The welding process ensures the quality of the roll weld, the strength and rigidity of the roll. Generally, the weld needs to be inspected by UT and MT after welding to check the quality of welding;
- Lathe processing ensures that the size and tolerance of the roll meet the requirements of the drawings and product use.
- Some other products have a plate thickness that exceeds the rolling capacity of the plate rolling machine, and a process of heating the steel plate and then rolling is required. The plate thickness of about Ø400 is greater than 25, the plate thickness of about Ø500 is greater than 35, and the plate thickness of about Ø600 is greater than 40. These all require hot rolling of steel plates.

FEATURE 1
The fixing device of the tail end of the wire rope on the drum should have anti-loosening or self-tightening performance. The fixing of the tail end of the wire rope should be checked once a month. In any state of use, it must be ensured that the wire rope retains a sufficient safety circle on the drum
FEATURE 2
The drum end of the single-layer winding drum should have a flange. The flange should be 2 times higher than the outer wire rope or chain by the wire rope diameter or the width of the chain.
FEATURE 3
Use and maintenance: When there is no structure with a through-supporting shaft in the drum body of the lifting mechanism and the variable-length mechanism, the simplified body should be made of steel.
