Casting cranes are mainly divided into two types: dedicated molten metal casting cranes, primarily used in steelmaking workshops and foundries of steel plants to undertake core tasks such as transporting high-temperature molten iron and receiving molten steel. Their working environment is extremely harsh, with prolonged exposure to high-temperature radiation and exceptionally high operational intensity. Therefore, ensuring the highest product safety and operational reliability is crucial. The other type is finished product handling casting cranes: mainly employed in continuous rolling workshops to efficiently transfer steel plates, billets, and sections produced by rolling mills to the stacking area of production lines; in finished product warehouses, they are used for vehicle loading/unloading or stacking operations. The safe working load (SWL) of such cranes includes the self-weight of specialized lifting attachments like electromagnetic lifters.
